As the weather warms, we all naturally begin to incorporate more salads and vegetables in our diet. It's nature's influence on our eating habits when we become more and more inclined to eat fresh, raw, crunchy, green, or garden-grown foods.
This sounds like a wonderful turn of events in our food consumption calendar, doesn't it?
Sure, but sometimes all of that goodness is counteracted by our traditional salad dressing and sauce habits. Next time you are at the grocery store, turn over your go-to bottle of conventional salad dressing and investigate a little. You will likely be surprised, if not shocked, by the amount of sugar and/or preservatives listed.
What's the good news? Making your own dressings at home is EASY. All you need is a few ingredients, a blender or food processor, and a sealed jar or container to store leftovers!
