NEW!! at The Whole Plate Wellness Studio

Strength training is one of the most practical investments you can make in your future health. It helps with everyday tasks, supports balance and mobility, and builds confidence in what your body can do.

The Whole Plate is excited to announce two brand new services created to help you train smarter, stay consistent, and feel supported along the way:

  • Semi-Private Personal Training

  • 8-Week Core Strength Program

Both options are built around encouragement, good form, and steady progress. They serve different needs, so choosing the right fit starts with understanding how each one works.

Semi-Private Personal Training:

Personal Coaching With a Training Partner

Semi-private personal training gives two people the chance to train together while still getting personal attention. It is a great fit for friends, partners, siblings, or anyone who enjoys accountability but still wants a plan that reflects their own fitness level.

Unlike a larger class, semi-private training keeps the setting small. The coach can watch form closely, adjust exercises, and help each person work at the right level.

This service is ideal for anyone who wants:

  • A more personal training experience

  • Support with proper technique

  • A plan that can be adjusted to individual needs

  • The motivation of showing up with someone else

  • A setting that feels less crowded than a group class

This is not the same as a group program. In a semi-private session, the focus stays on the two clients training together. Each person may have different goals, strengths, limitations, or starting points. The trainer can account for that while keeping the session shared and encouraging.

Important package reminder

Each semi-private personal training package is valid for one of the two clients training. That means each person purchases their own package, even though both people train together during the same session.

For example, if two friends want to train together, Friend A purchases a semi-private personal training package and Friend B purchases their own semi-private personal training package. They attend the sessions together, but each package belongs to one individual.

This keeps coaching, scheduling, and progress tracking clear for everyone.

8-Week Core Strength Program:

Structure and Community

The new 8-Week Core Strength Program is a group program designed around one clear goal: building a stronger, more reliable core over time.

Core strength is about much more than ab exercises. A strong core supports posture, balance, lifting, walking, getting up and down, and moving through daily life with more control. Good core training includes the deep muscles that help stabilize the spine and pelvis, along with the hips, back, and breath.

This program gives participants a clear path to follow for eight weeks. Instead of guessing what to do next, you will have structure, coaching, and a group of people working toward a shared goal.

Expect the program to focus on:

  • Core stability

  • Controlled movement

  • Strength that supports everyday life

  • Proper form and body awareness

  • Progressions that build week by week

Because this is a group program, everyone follows the same overall plan. The shared format creates energy and accountability. Participants show up, train together, and build momentum as a group.

The group setting also helps make consistency easier. There is something powerful about being surrounded by people who are also choosing to take care of their health. You do not have to be the strongest person in the room. You just need to be willing to begin and keep practicing.

Personal training packages and group programs serve different goals

Both new services support strength, confidence, and long-term health. The difference is in the format.

Semi-Private Personal Training

Personal coaching for two people training together

Each person buys their own package

More individual attention and adjustment

Best for specific goals, form work, or personal guidance

Sessions center on the two clients

8-Week Core Strength Program

Group program with a shared plan

Participants join the program as a group

More shared energy and accountability

Best for building core strength through a set program

Sessions center on the group curriculum

Semi-private training is the better choice when someone wants more coaching specific to their body, goals, or experience level. It creates room for adjustments and personal feedback.

The 8-week program is the better choice when someone wants a guided group experience with a clear start, finish, and focus. It gives structure without needing a fully personal plan.

Both can be useful at different times. Some people may start with the core program to build consistency, then move into semi-private training for more personal support. Others may use semi-private training as their main routine and join a group program when they want fresh focus and community.

Training now protects more than fitness

Strength training is not only about workouts. It is about staying capable.

Being able to carry groceries, climb stairs, get off the floor, travel, garden, play with kids, or enjoy hobbies all require strength and balance. Those abilities are easy to take for granted until they start to feel harder.

Training smart helps protect independence. It supports the daily movements that make life feel full and manageable. That does not require extreme routines or punishment-based workouts. It requires steady practice, good coaching, and a plan that meets people where they are.

At The Whole Plate, these new services are built around that idea. Fitness should feel challenging, but it should also feel supportive. The goal is progress that lasts, not burnout.

A stronger future starts with one choice

The launch of Semi-Private Personal Training and the 8-Week Core Strength Program gives members of The Whole Plate two new ways to build strength with guidance and community.

For those who want individual coaching with a partner, semi-private training offers the attention of personal training with the encouragement of a shared session. For those who want a focused group experience, the core program offers eight weeks of structure, support, and steady practice.

Your future self is shaped by what you practice now. Choose strength. Choose consistency. Choose a community that helps you keep showing up.

If you are ready to train in a way that supports long-term health and independence, these brand new services at The Whole Plate are a strong place to begin.
